Sold: motor yacht SYCARA IV
Published 11 May 2017
Burgess is delighted to announce the sale of 46.1m yacht SYCARA IV.
The gentleman's yacht SYCARA IV is a modern classic fusing the highest levels of build quality with the sophistication and glamour of the 1920s' Golden Age of yachting.
Commissioned by an experienced American yachtsman and delivered in 2009, this luxury superyacht was designed and built by USA-based Burger Boat Company, in association with naval architect Bruce King. This successful collaboration saw SYCARA IV awarded the 2010 ShowBoats Design Award for Best Naval Architecture. Her hull was designed to create minimal wake and her mast stacks can be removed for low bridges, making her the ideal vessel for exploring inland waterways.
SYCARA IV's classical interior is a Ken Freivokh masterpiece, with glossy Madrone Burl wall panels enhanced with inlaid Macassar Ebony throughout. Her guest cabins provide luxurious accommodation for nine people, including a master suite, VIP cabin, double and a twin cabin. Beautiful deck spaces include a dining area aft on the main deck, which leads up to a spacious sun deck with large sun pads, a seven-person jacuzzi, bar and an informal dining area.
