Fireworks festivals

Over the course of 10 warm summer evenings, the skies above Monaco, Cannes and Antibes burst with light, colour, noise and excitement as the three towns compete for the most spectacular fireworks display.

The Cannes spectacular is an international event with display designers from 20 countries so far having competed for the various titles on offer. Monaco's display, from Quai Albert 1er in Port Hercules, is visible from many vantage points in the multi-tiered Principality. In Antibes' Juan-les-Pins Bay, the skies fizz and flash with son et lumiere too.

For all sorts of reasons, these are unmissable shows.
