Alan Dale is a professional marine engineer holding a British Class One Engineering ticket. Alan is registered as an incorporated engineer with the Engineering Council.

Alan joined Burgess from the liner Queen Elizabeth 2 where he served as 1st engineer and ships technical service manager. In addition to over 20 years’ experience as a seagoing engineer, Alan has also worked ashore for Cunard Line as the technical officer for their ISM Code implementation programme. Alan is a member of the MCA committee developing the new qualification standards for yacht engineers. Alan has brought his expertise with ISM and a wealth of practical experience to Burgess.
