A keen sailor as a boy, Jamie started work in the yachting industry after graduating from Glasgow University with a Bachelor of Science. A year out quickly turned into an eight-year stretch with the allure of yachting leading to a career on sailing yachts across the globe. This culminated in the captaincy of a race and charter yacht aptly named STAY CALM. With the adventure bug satisfied and a change of career on land sought, Jamie gained transactional experience for two years with a smaller company before joining Burgess. This involved setting up the first Burgess office in Mallorca which is soon to reach its 10 year anniversary.
