Chris joins us following a career as yacht crew spanning 26 years, the last 14 as captain on 50-70m+ superyachts. For someone who schooled in the South of France surrounded by its large concentration of yachts, with a maritime upbringing and a desire to travel, this career choice was a natural one. Chris realised early on that qualifications would be required so invested all his savings into completing modules and finally passing his Master Yachts 3,000GT licence at the age of 23, and he is still one of the youngest candidates to complete this qualification. His yachting experience grew to include new builds, complex refits and cruising with private and charter guests in the world's most popular destinations. His acute understanding of the yachting industry, of how yacht ownership and the ultimate charter experience should be enjoyed, will help our clients to enjoy everything that yachting has to offer.

With his Australian wife and Sydney-based family, a shoreside role with Burgess is the ideal way to complete this goal for current and future Australian clients. Chris enjoys staying fit, playing tennis, films, reading and good food and wine.
