Burgess is delighted to offer ENCORE for sale with an asking price of USD 22,000,000.

ENCORE is a 43.9m (144ft) cutter-rigged auxiliary sailing yacht delivered by New Zealand’s Alloy Yachts in 2013 to interior designs by the yard’s in-house team and exteriors and by the UK’s Dubois Naval Architects.

She was commissioned by an owner who was left so impressed by the combination of Alloy and Dubois over 300,000 miles of ocean cruising that the same duo was entrusted with the next project, a larger yacht with accommodation better suited to a larger family. ENCORE has also proved herself to be both immensely capable and extremely comfortable during a long period of ownership.

Her aluminium hull and superstructure were built to the ABS code of compliance and her power comes from a 60m, five-spreader carbon fibre mast supported by ECsix carbon rigging. Her cutter sloop rig, with full Doyle Stratis wardrobe, brings the convenience of a staysail for tacking in busy coastal waters as well as the powerful double-headsail rig for downwind passages.

A sleek superstructure continues aft with a solid bimini shading a large forward cockpit lounge. Aft of this are twin helm stations positioned outboard for better visibility forward and aft of that is a large expanse of teak-laid deck for sun lounging that ends with transom steps down to the water.

A sculpted coachroof features spectacular wraparound windows with narrow mullions. The aspect of the glass is almost horizontal forward, creating a dramatic skylight for the gentleman’s club-style main saloon and dining area, before shifting into a near vertical plane towards the pilothouse with lounge and bar, creating both natural light and extensive views where they are needed.

She accommodates 10 guests in four cabins: a full-beam master suite, two double guest cabins and a guest twin with two additional berths. A good spread of sail and 4.3m (14.1ft) draft combine with a seakindly hull to give her the potential for comfortable passagemaking speeds of 20kn in the right conditions. On calm days an 876hp Caterpillar diesel gives her a cruising speed of 12kn and a top speed of 15kn.
