Burgess sponsors 2020 St Barths Bucket Regatta

Burgess is supporting the 2020 St Barths Bucket Regatta. Once again we're delighted to associate Burgess with the camaraderie of this showcase superyacht event in the waters off Saint Barthélemy in the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean.

The island has held its famous Bucket Regatta every March since 1995 and in 2019 attracted over 30 sailing superyachts over 30.5m (100ft) from all over the world. The racing is undoubtedly committed but it says much for the generous spirit of this event that the trophy is based on the spare bucket presented as the original trophy.

That spirit is also evident in a lively and immaculately organised programme of social engagements. During the day race viewing parties take place in shoreside venues and after the yachts are home and hosed, there are more Bucket parties in private villas and local restaurants. It is now such a feature of the island's life that it's become the second biggest event after New Year's Eve.
