Pescadori in Festa

This four-day celebration of seafood is arranged by the town's fishermen to honour their patron saint, Saint Erasmus. Based on Quai l'Herminier in Marina Tino Rossi, beneath the walls of Ajaccio Old Town, this event presents simply grilled fresh fish, flavour-packed soups and mussels many ways just moments from the boats that landed them, exhibitions and stalls selling seafood.

On the Saint's day itself, 2 June, a large mass is held in the church after which an effigy of the Saint himself is paraded down to the harbour with the fishermen dressed in white followed by traditional festivities like concerts arranged by the fishermen themselves - and more seafood. Four days of festivities follow.
